I was looking back over these last few years of my life since my concussion in 2012. It is surprising all the changes that have taken place and how much of my life has changed. Some was definitely for the better and I am thankful for it, but there is also a part of me I lost and will never get back.
I think that is why God gave me this poem. This month’s poem is called, God Loves You. As many changes that have gone on with my life, God has always been there with me. He has shared all the good times and also the hard struggles I faced. When others didn’t know what to do to help me, God always did! He stayed beside me… sometimes silent, but was always there ready to hold me each time I couldn’t handle things alone.
I know all of you know what I mean when I say the ups and downs of life. All of us have cried out in pain and have our own struggles we must face. Some of you are going through a hard time right now while others like me are in a good place. You may have had a loved one die recently or been told you have cancer. Whatever is going on now or is in your future, please always know - God loves you and will always be there… even when he is silent.
With Christmas only weeks away, I pray each of us will take the time to share God’s love with others. Remember it is hard to give love when you have no love left inside of you to offer to someone else. No matter what you have done in the past, you are a child of the Most High and God loves you. Take time to rest when you are weary. Don’t let anyone abuse you or take advantage of your kindness. If money is tight, then don’t charge something you can’t afford. Sooner give your time. Things of the heart will always outlast any man-made merchandise. It’s like your elderly parents or grandparents don’t need a new phone to be up with the times. Sooner give them you! Go visit on a day that isn’t a holiday. Write them a letter when it isn’t their birthday. Don’t live with regrets.
God Loves You.
